Government Knocks on Facebook and Twitter

After MCD and DELHI POLICE now it's RBI on Facebook and Twitter !!

The Cyber space has become synonomous to the traditional print and electronic media in terms of it's access and influence on people's perception.the internet being accessed by people anywhere and anytime by using Internet or mobile phones is surpassing the importance of traditional media. So,the government has also realised the prevailing scenario that's why, initially MCD(Muncipal Corporation of Delhi) then Delhi Police and now RBI(Reserve Bank of India) has also knocked the doors of social networking sites i.e., facebook and twitter due to it's wide reach to the people,so that,RBI can be more interactive about it's major policies
and decisions among the counterymen.

RBI has not taken this step in insolation as it is surveying visitors on it's website regarding getting interactive on Social Media through the interactive features like disscussion forums, blogs, live chat, twitter and opinion poll. Thus,Cyber Media has imbibed not only the personal space but it is also expanding it's horizons in society in the formal manner as the coorporates and government organisations are largely getting visible on social networking sites which has been enmarked as a frequently occuring phenomenon due to it's wider access and influence on society.
